OJ Truck Overturns In Downtown Tampa

orange_juice_2013A tanker truck loaded with orange juice overturned on westbound Interstate 4 approaching Interstate 275 in downtown Tampa early Tuesday, troopers said.

The truck was heading west on I-4 approaching the southbound ramp to I-275 about 5 a.m., troopers said.

Roads were wet due to rain, and driver Billy Ray Parker, 55, of Winter Springs, was traveling at a speed too fast for the conditions, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The tractor-trailer, operated by Indian River Transport Co., of Winter Haven, flipped onto its right side on the highway’s shoulder, troopers said.
