ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orange County corrections officer was found dead in a parking lot at the jail.
Officials say 59-year-old Pamela Mobley was supposed to work Thursday morning, but never arrived for her shift. Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to her house for a well-being check, but didn’t find her.
The Orlando Sentinel reports her body was found Thursday afternoon. Rescue crews tried to revive her but she was pronounced dead.
A sheriff’s spokeswoman says the death doesn’t appear suspicious and no foul play is suspected.
An autopsy will be performed.
