Old Navy: Controversy Over Larger Clothes With Bigger Prices

If the size of clothing you wear requires more material, should you be paying more? Well, Old Navy apparently thinks so, but only regarding women. Men, no issue. So for charging more for just plus-sized womens’ clothing, furious customers are demanding Old Navy implement a new policy.

Old Navy, for its part, says that “plus-size clothes cost more because we invest more in them,” saying the line is, and herein probably lies the key, “specifically designed and manufactured to fit and flatter our valued customers.”

So there you go. The plus-sized items are not available for purchase in stores, just online. Where one can now also find a Change.org petition that has more than 33,000 signatures.
