Even as the wind is being touted as a safe, clean and reliable way to power the nation, some landowners in Central Oklahoma are filing suit to prevent the construction of windmill farms near their property.
Virginia-based Apex Clean Energy, Inc. plans a 300-megawatt project west of Oklahoma City, but a group called the Oklahoma Wind Action Association has filed a lawsuit to keep the turbines from going up.
