The OPD says they responded to the same house Thursday night when there was another drive-by shooting. When officers arrived, they found bullet holes in the house as well as on the car parked outside. They say one shooting had injuries involved and the other didn’t.

While on scene at the shooting Friday morning, Officer Ramjit advised that he had heard multiple gunshots to the south of his location. Additionally, a call came into the Communications Center at OPD at 2:10 a.m. of a drive-by shooting at 1111 NW 3rd Street with no injuries.

Officers responded to this second shooting at 1111 NW 3rd St., where they discovered multiple bullet holes to the residence and shooting injuries to two children, ages 4 and 8. Ocala Fire Rescue responded and the two children were transported to Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville for treatment. Both children are currently in stable condition.

Detectives were called out to both scenes and are actively working these cases. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
