The White House has told Florida Governor Rick Scott that the Sunshine State will keep taking Syrian refugees.
But, the president also says Florida will get a little more information about the people it is being forced to take in.
But the new information will not be much.
Refugees’ age and gender will be included in a report issued upon request, but no names or addressed will be given out so states cannot follow refugees’ movements.
Governor Scott fears that ISIS fighters will be able to come to Florida among legitimate refugees because one of the terrorists in on the Paris attacks did the same thing to get into France.
About one hundred Syrian refugees have been relocated in Florida this year—more than half in Tampa Bay.
