No Injuries Reported At Ybor City Home Fire

Tampa Fire Rescue extinguished a single story wooden home in Ybor City Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to 2023 North 11th Street at 1:30 a.m. and had the fire extinguished by 2:39 a.m. According to TFR, the home was unoccupied and there were no injuries.

According to the Fire Marshal, the fire originated under the outside, north-facing portion of the house and extended into the roof through the eaves causing extensive fire, heat and smoke damage to approximately 75 percent of the home.

Damage also included the collapse of the floor in the back portion of the home.

The fire is still under investigation pending further analysis of the evidence collected at the scene.

The estimated damage to the single-story, wood frame residential structure is $35,000. The structure was vacant at the time of the fire.
