New ‘sexual superbug’ more dangerous than AIDS?

TAMPA – A new medical warning from doctors. They say there is a new superbug that could become more deadly than AIDS.

It’s a type of gonorrhea that is resistant to anti-biotics. Researchers say it’s more aggressive than AIDS and has the ability to effect more people quickly. It is even capable of killing someone within a few days.

Not everyone who has the bug knows it. Researchers urge sexually active people to use protection as a way to stay safe.

Right now, about 450,000 Americans are living with AIDS. Of those, most are between the ages of 25 to 50.

AIDS has killed more than 600,000 people in the United States over the past 30 years.
