Murder-Suicide at Largo Walgreens

One eye witness said she heard one pop and then saw a man unloaded seven more shots into the woman in a red truck.

Largo Police are continuing their investigation to find out what led up to the shooting that appears to have started as an argument that turned into a murder-suicide.

According to officials, a husband and wife were traveling eastbound on Roosevelt Boulevard and were engaged in a verbal argument.

Witnesses say they saw their red Ford pick-up truck going back and forth in the roadway until the man pulled into the Walgreens at 58th Street North and Roosevelt Boulevard and shot his wife several times, killing her.

He then turned the gun on himself.

The witness said she went over to the woman in the truck but she was dead.

She could see that the woman had been shot in her buttocks and her back, and that she was slumped over and unresponsive.

The witness also reported that the man was laying on the ground about five feet away with the gun still in his hand.

The husband and wife have not been identified.
