A man and woman were stabbed inside a home early Thursday morning and the suspect is their son, who was also stabbed.
The house is in a typical neighborhood off of 102nd Ave. N. near Oakhurst Road; the homes on either side had red and green holiday porch lights on, casting their glow on cars and vans from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they’re still early in the investigation, and motive remains a mystery.
They’ve told us a man and woman live in the house with their adult son.
Just after midnight, deputies were called to the home. We don’t know who made that call.
The mother and father had both been stabbed, and so had their son.
Investigators say the son stabbed his parents, but detectives have not told us whether the son’s own wounds were self-inflicted.
All three were rushed to the hospital, and all three have injuries that are considered life-threatening.
The names of the people involved have not yet been released.
