Missing Afghan Military Officers Caught At Canadian Border

The three Afghan soldiers who went missing from Joint Base Cape Cod were found Monday at the U.S. border with Canada. The three Afghan soldiers were last seen at a mall on Cape Cod buying civilian clothes and law enforcement officials tell us they had information the troops were heading to Canada.

At the border checkpoint we’re told the men did not try to hide but walked up to agents and presented themselves for asylum. They were never thought to be a danger. The military said they were “thoroughly vetted” before a tabletop exercise on peacekeeping that included participants from six countries.
