Tropical Storm Grace Expected To Weaken

MIAMI – Tropical Storm Grace is expected to weaken as it moves across the Atlantic.

The storm’s maximum sustained winds early Tuesday are near 40 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Grace is forecast to weaken to a tropical depression later in the day.

Grace is centered about 1,360 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving west near 20 mph.

Meanwhile in the Pacific, Hurricane Linda is maintaining its strength. Linda’s maximum sustained winds are near 90 mph with weakening expected to begin by Tuesday night. The hurricane is centered about 295 miles southwest of the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and is moving north-northwest near 10 mph.
