Fifteen People Shot At Miami Night Club

Fifteen people, ranging in age from 11 to 25, were shot and wounded — at least one critically — at a party early Sunday morning at a Miami nightclub, according to Miami police.

The shooting happened at The Spot on Northwest 64th Street at Seventh Avenue at about 1 a.m. When police and fire rescue arrived, they found “chaos,” said Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll.

“There were a lot of people outside,” he said. “Some were helping their friends who had been shot.”

Frederica Burden, a spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department, said investigators are trying to determine who was inside, how many shooters there were and why the shooting took place.

“This has baffled everybody,” she said. “We are just trying to figure out what’s going on.”
