Bucs CB Johnthan Banks Previews the Orange Bowl

Mississippi State alumnus and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Johnthan Banks joined Your Wake Up Call to talk about the Capital One Orange Bowl. The Orange Bowl pits the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and is scheduled to kick off Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m.

Banks also talked about what it took for him to reach his goals in life and what advice he’d give to kids chasing their own dreams.

“My advice is to stay humble, stay blessed. With God everything is possible. I was always told that I couldn’t be this, I couldn’t be that because I was small and skinny, I was slow, I went to a small school. Just stay in those books, listen to those adults, your elders. They know what they’re talking about. I was raised by my grandmother. She taught me respect.”
