Possible Bomb Threat At A Miami-Dade Courthouse
Police were on the scene investigating a possible bomb threat at a courthouse in Miami this morning.
Miami police say a person called saying he was being held hostage in a black car outside of the Richard E. Gerstein Building with a possible bomb inside. The building at 1352 NW 12 Street was evacuated shortly after.
Parking lots near the building were also evacuated due to precaution. No one was allowed in or out of the lots as K9 units were seen throughout the parking lot investigating.

Miami Police are aiding Miami-Dade Police in this investigation. It is unsure whether the call was a hoax at this time. There is no word of a black vehicle with a hostage inside being found.
This is a developing story that News Talk Florida will continue to follow. Be sure to check back here for more updates as they become available.

Back in June 2016 the same building was closed and evacuated due to two separate bomb threats. One threat turned out to be a hoax while the other was not specified. The Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building is the main criminal courthouse in downtown Miami.
