A massive Mexico to Polk County methamphetamine ring is busted up, thanks to the combined efforts of several law enforcement agencies.
Polk Sheriff Grady Judd says 22 people were arrested, and nearly $100 thousand in cash, seven vehicles, and $1.3 million dollars worth of meth were seized.
Officials say the meth was made in Mexico, and then smuggled into the U.S.
Polk County was just one of several destination points around the country for the drugs.
A similar bust by Polk County Sheriff’s detectives last year netted 26 arrests and 43 pounds of meth at a Lake Wales home.
