A Port Richey man orders beer, robs bank, returns to beer – Oh, and gets caught.
Yesterday, Pasco Sheriff’s deputies received a call at 1:42 p.m. that a man walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 8994 State Road 52 in Port Richey, told the teller he wanted money and then left.
And where did he go? He went back to the Hayloft Bar, just down the road from the bank, to finish the beer he had ordered about 30 minutes earlier.
Police have now arrested a 52-year-old John Robin Whittle of New Port Richey for bank robbery.
