The Orlando Sentinel reports that a Saturday night crash in Lake County left one man dead and another jailed on DUI and other charges.
Robert Wenrick, 43, of DeBary, was driving east on State Road 46 at about 10:15 a.m. when he struck a pedestrian who was standing in the roadway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian, 20-year-old Conrad Berry of Longwood, died at the scene of the crash, which happened east of Wekiva River Road, FHP said.
Wenrick was booked into the Lake County Jail on $50,250 bail, FHP said. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to submit to a breath test.
The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
