Florida Highway Patrol officers have arrested a man who they say abducted his ex-girlfriend and threatened to cut off her head and slaughter her family. Troopers say 29-year-old Jeremy James Miley abducted his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend in Clearwater Sunday and drove north toward Georgia. Someone called a tip Tuesday after overhearing Miley say he was a wanted fugitive at an Ocala business. Troopers found Miley at a rest area on Interstate 75 with a machete, working on his pickup truck. The 21-year-old passenger was located nearby. She told officers Miley forced her to come with him and threatened to harm her and her family. Troopers found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Miley was arrested on felony assault and kidnapping among other charges.
