The shocking death of “Glee” actor Cory Monteith left his girlfriend Lea Michele “devastated” and pleading for privacy Sunday as Canadian authorities prepared to conduct an autopsy.
Police were still hunting for answers to what caused the death of Monteith, 31, who played the singing jock Finn Hudson on the popular Fox TV show.
“We have interviewed everyone he was with the night before,” Vancouver Police Constable Brian Montague said Sunday. “For the most part, it has been turned to the coroner’s office, who will be determining the next steps with respect to establishing cause of death.”
“She is devastated,” a friend told the Daily News. “She was shaking when she heard the news.”
Her spokeswoman later sent out a statement, saying, “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.”
