Latest Obama Proposal Would Raise Taxes On Rich

Well, you can put it under the “here’s something else Republicans won’t like” category, but over the weekend the administration released yet another proposal the president plans to announce during his State of the Union Address. He will call on Congress to raise taxes and fees on the wealthiest taxpayers and the largest financial firms, to finance an array of tax cuts for the middle class.

Republican leaders quickly responded, characterizing the proposal as a “non-starter.” And what does a revitalized economy do for a president’s job approval rating? A new ABC News Washington Post poll out this morning has the answer.
