A Lakeland 16 year old is now charged with three counts of attempted murder after admitting to police that he set fire to his Parkland Drive home with the intention of killing his family.
Baxton Dowdy’s mother, father, and sister got out OK during the Sunday morning incident and damage to the house is minimal.
The boy apparently doused the house with gasoline and then tried to light a sock on fire.
Authorities believe mounting personal problems are the reason for the Dowdy’s actions.
