Lakeland McDonald’s Manager Beaten with Bat

 

A McDonald’s manager was beaten in the ribs with a baseball bat after a robber jumped the restaurant’s counter in Lakeland and demanded food.

According to Lakeland Police spokesperson Ann Dinges, the robber entered the McDonald’s at 715 E. Memorial Blvd. around 10:30 p.m.

The manager was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for treatment of what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

The manager has not been identified. Officers continue investigating the incident.

A suspect has not been identified at this time. No description of the suspect was given.
