A judge could decide soon whether rideshares are illegal in Hillsborough County the way they are run now.
The county is suing Uber over the rideshare’s refusal to get driver background checks, vehicle inspections, and insurance.
If the judge sides with the county, Uber and Lyft drivers could be arrested.
