Pasco Sheriff “Deputizes” Terminally Ill 7 Year Old

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (AP) _ A southwest Florida sheriff’s agency is helping a 7-year-old boy with a terminal illness become a superhero for a day.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office will “deputize” Spencer Holt on Tuesday and give him a special assignment to conquer. The agency is getting some help from local high school drama students who will be stationed throughout the jail dressed as zombies.

Spencer’s task is to get rid of the zombies.

Authorities said in a news release that they wanted to host Spencer because he is “an inspirational little boy.”
