Stolen Car Crashes Into Undercover Police Truck

Monday morning at 12:23 a.m., a stolen car traveling at a high rate of speed hit an undercover pick-up truck at Central Ave and 54th St.

Five teenagers between the ages of 15 to 18 and one 25 year old were in the car and some were seriously injured. Two were trauma alerts. They were taken to several St Petersburg area hospitals.

The injured teens are 15 year old Aria King, 15 year old Braniyah Florence, 17 year old Tyrek Philips, 17 year old Keeyana King, 18 year old Alisiya Webb and 25 year old Jamal Parker.

A Tampa police officer in the passenger seat of the truck and the St. Petersburg Police officer driving were injured and taken to St. Petersburg General and St. Anthony’s Hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time. They were working together as part of the Auto Theft Task Force but were not involved in a pursuit.
