Lexus goes Back to the Future to unveil the hoverboard. A new Lexus ad is causing a stir, and it’s not even for a car.
The luxury automaker has released a video online showing off it’s new Lexus Hoverboard, the latest installment in its “Amazing in Motion” campaign. The carmaker says it has been in development over the last 18 months, but for now it is not getting specific on how it works. It is believed that the Lexus Hoverboard is magnetic, with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets. Lexus promises regular updates in weeks to come.
The hoverboard reportedly is real but since it can only be used on magnetic surfaces, according to Engadget, “Back to the Future” fans will just have to keep dreaming.
