ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan is on the witness stand for Day 2 of trial in his civil lawsuit against Gawker Media.
The trial resumed Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg with Hogan being cross-examined by Gawker lawyers.
Hogan is suing the New York-based website for $100 million for posting an edited clip of a sex tape made of him and the wife of his then-best friend.
Tuesday morning, Gawker’s attorneys played a video of Hogan doing an interview with TMZ about the sex tape. The interview was prior to Gawker’s posting of the video and depicted Hogan joking about his thong tan line.
Hogan claims Gawker invaded his privacy. The trial will explore questions about celebrity and expectation of privacy.
