Bush Wants To Privatize More Veterans Care

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) _ Jeb Bush is continuing his campaign swing through South Carolina this week with an event in Rock Hill.

Bush wants to privatize more veterans care and make it easier to fire federal employees found responsible for poor treatment. The former Florida governor also said during the visit that the Pentagon should be overhauled to prioritize an increase in the number of active-duty troops.

His campaign says the former Republican governor from Florida is attending a national security forum in Rock Hill on Tuesday. The event at Winthrop University is being sponsored by Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security.

Bush has been in the state since Monday. He met in Charleston with veterans who support his quest for the Republican presidential nomination before holding a town hall meeting with veterans and military members in Columbia.
