Sheriff Philip Povero of Ontario County says his investigation into the accident that took the life of racecar driver Kevin Ward is continuing. His office is now reviewing two videos, and they are looking for dirt racing experts to analyze the videos to “clearly understand” the crash.
Povero insists the investigation is still open, and has not ruled out future criminal charges, but that currently there is no evidence of a crime. Meanwhile, Tony Stewart, who ran over Ward, has dropped out of another NASCAR race.
