Cassidy Stay, the 15-year-old lone survivor in Houston home invasion last Wednesday, spoke at her family’s memorial service Saturday, saying her family is in a “much better place.”
Gunman Ronald Lee Haskell, 33, barged into the home disguised as a FedEx driver. He shot and killed both Stay’s parents and four siblings execution-style, but her life was spared when a bullet fired and grazed her head. Stay pretended to be dead and called authorities once Haskell left.
