Britain’s Prince Charles is facing criticism from across the political spectrum in Britain after he reportedly compared Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler over Russia’s annexation of Crimea. He made the comments while speaking to a woman who fled the Nazis and lost family members during the Holocaust. Some, however, have come to his defense. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, for instance, said that he’s “never been of this view that if you are a member of the royal family somehow you have to enter the Trappist vow of silence.”
