Interview: BP Back In Court On Deepwater Horizon Claims

Oil giant BP will ask the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court decision that businesses don’t have to prove that they were directly harmed by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon spill in order to collect settlement payments. BP has paid out billions of dollars to individuals and companies that were affected by the explosion that killed eleven workers and sent millions of gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico. An appeals court has ruled that proof of damage isn’t a requirement to getting money from BP.
