HCFR Investigating House Fire In Tampa

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire at 6512 36th Ave South. Upon arrival, HCFR crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof and windows of this house, HCFR says. Fire Rescue personnel quickly deployed their hose lines and extinguished the fire within 20-25 minutes.

The home was not occupied at the time of the incident. The neighbors called 911 when they saw flames coming from this residence. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Fire Investigator was called to the scene. There was another home in the same property that had some suspicious findings. At this time the cause of the fire is under investigation as well as the suspicious findings in the other residence.

There are no reports of injuries to civilians or fire rescue personnel.

A total of eight units and about 22 firefighters responded to the scene.
