OKEECHOBEE, Fla. (AP) _ Gov. Rick Scott played cowboy in his latest effort to spend a day in average Floridians’ shoes.
Scott’s office tweeted a picture of the governor Monday striking a starkly different image, in jeans and a cowboy hat, on horseback at a cattle ranch in Okeechobee.
The governor’s office says Scott helped round up cattle into cow pens, weighed animals, gave medicine to calves and helped build fences on the ranch.
Florida is home to a large cattle industry with over a million beef cows.
