Gov. Pence Says He’ll Work To “Fix” Religious Freedom Law

Indiana Governor Mike Pence aggressively defended Indiana’s religious freedom law Tuesday but said he wants a bill on his desk by week’s end “making it clear the law does not allow businesses the right to deny services to anyone.” Whether he effectively quelled the swirl of criticism remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the state of Arkansas marked the occasion by passing their own “religious freedom” law, despite similar types of warnings and protestations from civil and business communities.
