COCOA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a 29-year-old Georgia man drowned in surf off Cocoa Beach.
Police say Timothy Myers was on a flotation device with other people around 7 p.m. Sunday before going under water.
Florida Today reports emergency responders tried to resuscitate Myers, but he died a short time later at Cape Canaveral Hospital.
Police say foul play was not suspected but no further details were immediately available.
