Frightening Discovery Made In Tarpon Springs House

People who live on Stonefence Way in Tarpon Springs have been allowed to return home after an overnight evacuation.

Police told residents they had to get out after finding anti-personnel mines, hand grenades, and military-style guns in the home of 85 year old William Metz.

Police arrested Metz Monday for being a felon in possession of a firearm after being called to a neighbor’s house for some kind of explosion in the back yard.

The blast damaged the house but did not injure the people inside at the time.

Police are now trying to connect Metz to the explosion in his neighbor’s yard.

Metz apparently called police twice this year to complain about noise, but nothing came of the complaints.

Metz did prison time in New York back in the 1940’s.
