ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say one train fatally struck two people in separate incidents along Florida’s Atlantic coast.

Early Friday, authorities said a man stepped in front of Florida East Coast Railway Train 210 in Fort Lauderdale.

Around 2:40 p.m. Friday, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Catherine Payne said another person stepped in front of the same train in St. Augustine.

At the time, the train was traveling at 58 mph.
