FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ State Rep. Perry Thurston is getting ready for First Lady Michelle Obama’s visit to South Florida.
Thurston met with volunteers Sunday to pass out tickets to the event.
The first lady will be in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday to encourage volunteers for her husband’s re-election campaign to reach out to their local communities in the next few months.
Florida is a key battleground stake in the November election.
