Boulis Murder Trial To Resume Monday

Anthony_Moscatiello_Ferrari_2013FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Trial is set to continue Monday for Anthony “Little Tony” Ferrari, who is charged in the 2001 slaying of South Florida businessman Konstantinos “Gus” Boulis.

Prosecutors say Boulis was killed in a power struggle over the SunCruz Casinos gambling fleet that Boulis had recently sold. Boulis also founded the Miami Subs restaurant chain.

A judge granted a mistrial last week for Anthony “Big Tony” Moscatiello because of his attorney’s lingering illness. Moscatiello will be retried at a later date.

The two are charged with first-degree murder in the mob-style shooting death of Boulis in downtown Fort Lauderdale. They face the death penalty if convicted.
