Flu Apps Hit The Market As Flu Numbers Rise

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the number of states reporting a high incidence of flu-like symptoms has risen in the past week from 22 to 29. At least 21 people have died from the illness.

The CDC offers a “flu app” for tracking of the illness, but several private companies also have products for download into your smartphone or tablet.

ABC’s Jim Ryan reports from Texas, one of the hardest-hit states.
