TAMPA, Florida – Investigators are searching for a man caught on store security cameras trying to rob the Dollar General Store on West Hillsborough early Sunday morning.
Store employee Suzanne Yancey says the suspect looked like any other customer when he came inside looking to purchase candy.
“He was six cents short so I said he could have it,” said Yancey, who watched as the man came inside to buy a second candy bar a short time later.[youtube_sc url=”http://youtu.be/GbLenE87fIY”]
“I went to open the register to get change out and he said, ‘Don’t do that,'” recalled Yancey, who said the man suddenly reached over the counter to grab money out of the drawer.
