TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Separate ceremonies have been scheduled for two Tampa Bay-area soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan on July 8.
A ceremony for Staff Sgt. Ricardo Seija, 31, of Tampa, will be held Tuesday, followed by an honor escort to a local funeral home.
On Wednesday, SPC Clarence Williams III, of Brooksville, will arrive at MacDill Air Force Base at 9 a.m.
Following a ceremony, an honor escort will depart MacDill and wind its way through downtown Tampa before traveling to Chiefland.
The two men were among six soldiers killed July 8 when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in Wardak Province, Afghanistan.
