Tropical Storm Dalila Off Mexico’s Coast

MIAMI —  Tropical Storm Dalila (dah-LY-lah) continues to swirl off Mexico’s Pacific coast.

The storm has maximum sustained winds early Monday near 45 mph (75 kph) with some possibility of strengthening later in the day and Tuesday.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for Mexico’s Pacific coast from Punta San Telmo to La Fortuna. A tropical storm watch is in effect from north of La Fortuna to Cabo Corrientes.

Dalilia is expected to bring winds and rain to the country’s coastline over the day and into the night.

The storm is centered about 105 miles (165 kilometers) south of Manzanillo, Mexico, and is moving northwest near 9 mph (15 kph).
