TAMPA (FOX 13) – A 19-year-old woman was killed Monday morning in a crash involving a semi-tractor trailer in Hillsborough County.
It happened down Causeway Boulevard near 86th Street in Tampa, and according to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman’s 2003 Pontiac may have even been stopped when she was rear ended by the truck.
Louis Albert Hartung, 48, of New Port Richey was driving that truck, FHP officials said. They say he didn’t notice the Pontiac.
The teenager died in the crash, and troopers are working to notify next of kin before revealing her name. Hartung was not injured.
The investigation continues Monday, but no charges had been filed.
