North Tampa Home Invaded on Sunday

Sunday morning, three people forced their way into a North Tampa apartment, stole a cell phone and fired a gun as they fled.

Roderick Steven Tootle, 25, was armed with a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol, kicked open the door to an apartment at 10200 N Armenia Ave. and demanded money from a person inside. Also with Tootle was Miranda Smith Tootle, 47, and Tangela Deshae Tootle, 23, and they demanded money. Roderick Tootle hit the victim on the head with the gun then the three fled in a 2001 Ford Taurus, and he fired the gun, according to the report.

A short time later, a deputy stopped the Taurus and arrested the three suspects who now face a robbery home invasion charge. Roderick Tootle also faces counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon fire, discharging a firearm in public and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
