Tampa Gets New Royal Caribbean Ship

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ A new Royal Caribbean cruise ship will begin sailing from Tampa in 2013.

The Brilliance of the Seas will sail four- and five-night Western Caribbean itineraries, stopping in Cozumel on the four-night cruises.

On the longer sailings, Cozumel, the Cayman Islands and either Key West or George Town are on the itineraries.

The ship will replace the company’s Jewel of the Seas.

The Tampa Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/JDnMtP) that before coming to Tampa, the 2,112-passenger Brilliance of the Seas will undergo a major renovation.

New amenities will include a more dining and entertainment options, revitalized staterooms, Wi-Fi, digital way-finding stations and an outdoor LED video wall.

Passengers will be able to book cruises on the Brilliance of the Seas cruises starting May 17.
