BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) _ A registered sex offender has been charged with raping a 3-year-old girl in Bradenton.
Police say 49-year-old Leroy Junior Chandler was arrested Wednesday on charges of capital sexual battery and false imprisonment of a child under 13.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune (http://bit.ly/xiktSS ) reports Chandler is registered in Florida as a sex offender.
Police arrested Chandler after they received a call about the sexual assault of a child in Bradenton on Wednesday morning. According to police reports, Chandler was arrested later that afternoon and confessed.
He’s being held in the Manatee County Jail.
