PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in which a woman was attacked by two men early Monday morning.
Deputies say the woman had left a friend’s home on Verona Avenue in unincorporated Pinellas County around 1:30 a.m. She was a couple blocks away when she was attacked by two unknown men.
During the attack she suffered lacerations to her back. The victim was able to make it back to her home where her roommate called 911.
She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the attack. Currently no one is in custody and deputies have no motive for the attack.
